As a summer hillwalker you may often want to go to places which require more specialist techniques than you possess. If you want to develop your hillwalking skills to take you over steeper and more adventurous ground Keswick Mountain Adventures will introduce you all you need to know whilst enjoying the challenges of some of the Lake District’s classic scrambles.

You’ll cover lots of ground whilst learning everything you need to know about safety issues, route finding, simple ropework, navigation, equipment selection, and how to interpret mountain weather.

Our Introductory courses are perfect for those with little or no scrambling experience, all that’s needed is a good head for heights and the ability to move confidently on exposed but technically straight forward terrain.
